Cornwall is a place that I go back to year after year and to me it doesn’t need much explanation, but for those who have never been, there are a whole host of reasons to go to this wondrous place. I will talk a little bit more about my experiences in planning a trip to Cornwall.
Accommodation
For me personally there is no better way to go than a Cornwall holiday park, but there are a huge variety of options that I have personally stayed in before in Cornwall. There is a huge number of bed and breakfasts, holiday parks and other forms of accommodation. I am personally a little bit of a nature lover, so a holiday park is perfect for me.
How to get there
Of course this all depends on where. Personally I love making my way down to Cornwall from London, to me there really isn’t anything better than driving through the English countryside to warm me up for Cornwall.
My favourite things to do
This is a little bit to articulate in a very short blog post, so I will focus on a short list of my favourite things to do in Cornwall. Probably the first and best thing to do in Cornwall is to take in the scenery and there are a number of places to do this. I really enjoy the rugged cliffs of Cornwall and especially with the contrast with castles and the buildings of Cornwall’s mining past
St Michael’s Mount is another one of my favourite places that offers a pretty unique experience. It is something of an island that you can get to on a low tide causeway. You can then make your way up to the castle on the island and explore both. I don’t think there are many places in the world where you can do this and this has always been one of my favourite things to do..
Going to the beach is another thing that can’t be matched by any other location in the United Kingdom. Cornwall has a huge number of beaches that I love and the best thing is of course the variety. For example, last time I was in Cornwall I went to a very small cove style beach to simply relax and get away from everyone. At other times I like to surf and I especially love this at Gwithian.
