For 290Kc, get some cute miniature wooden mice (wait… miniature mice?), honey candles for 65Kc, and so on into cuteness ad infinitum. The best opportunities at this store are the natural paper writing books, which can be had for 70Kc, or 95Kc for a hardback, and the linden and chamomile natural shampoo for 105Kc. Overdose on Christmas cheer! Are you, or are you close to somebody who is an avid collector of tchotchkes and knickknacks? If so, then I have two perfect recommendations for you: 1) a psychiatrist, and 2) the store Modrobila linie in the Lucerna Gallery. If you have an angel fetish, (or are a pedophile) you will think you have died and gone to heaven, because the windows of this tiny boutique are crammed with those little munchkins. I must confess that I’m not a casual, let alone a regular, customer at the Pavilon location, but the local flower shop is a genuine oasis in a desert of shiny shelves and shop assistants. Nothing but pleasant, smiling faces and a choice of almost fifty types of cut flowers including several exotic species. A funny thing happened on the way to the office as we were working on the annual Best of Prague issue. I had the honor of being stuck in traffic for 20 minutes while a Michelska bakery truck driver unloaded it’s goods. This in itself was almost enough to get them zapped off the list, but as the guy was rather slow, I couldn’t help loading up my car with some fresh baked goodness. Let’s just call it a waiting tax, after all, time is money! After that, I’d have to especially recommend Michelska cherry (sold in shops everywhere)....
