If you thought you had to go to the states to ever eat a bagel again - you were right - that is until Prague's first bagel bakery opened...
Top any one of these with one of their five cream cheeses - my favorite is the fresh herb and garlic.Actually, my favorite is the veggie, but then again, the smoked salmon and horseradish is delicious and for the sweet tooth; honey, walnut and raisin... If you want something more filling, try any one of the number of fresh sandwiches: Turkey Club, Marinated Chicken Breast, Int'l Rueben to name a few. They also serve fresh quiche, soups and salads daily. Try the vegetarian chili - its excellent and has a hot enough kick even meat lovers won't mind forgoing the beef! For dessert, Bohemia bagel offers quite possibly the best assortment in town. Mouth watering carrot cake, to die for brownies and a chocolate/espresso cheese cake that is out of this world. Oh, yea, they make muffins too! Where will it end? Bohemia has Staropramen (12°) on tap - enjoy it cold with a free bowl of bagel chips. (So that's what they do with the leftovers.) There is also white and red wine, Becherovka and their house drink, the awesome Bohemia Bloody Mary. Come and eat, visit with friends, or enjoy a good read while drinking superb gourmet coffees. The atmosphere is relaxed, the music is good, and the bagels are better than any you'll find in the states. Don't believe me? Check 'em out... Bohemia Bagel has brought civility to Prague - isn't a city's level of civility based on how many bagel joints they have? Hand-rolled and baked on the premises, Bohemia offers a variety of excellent bagels: poppy, sesame, garlic, onion, cinnamon-raisin, jalapeno, sun-dried tomato and basil, supreme (the works) and good ol' plain!
